Mark's probably best know in this country as Gladiator 'Trojan'; 'humble in victory, noble in defeat', although it's been 12 years since he's played the role and indeed been in the country having spent that time in LA, on American TV playing roles such as Action Man, and also in the cinema opposite names such as Jean Claude Van Damme.
Diverse roles but all strangely ones that echo Trojan in terms of their nobility - you don't get superheroes that stray very far from such values! Now he's back in the UK as Gladiators is reborn as Legends, and always one to relish a challenge Mark's taking on his first ever marathon.
Despite his inherent fitness it's not proving easy - body building muscles are a positive disadvantage when running long distances and in particular his knee joints are suffering. It's not in his character though to give up and in face his personal challenge is to complete the marathon in under 3 and a half hours (under 4 is good for a first timer). We shall see...
